Year 2017: Regional Office of Indian Bureau of Mines opened on 24 January 2017 at Gandhinagar. All Executive Members remained present and make the program successful.

FIMI, New Delhi has organized Conference on “Indian Industrial Minerals- Mining Act and Legal Issues, Environment, Mining Exploration and Processing Issue” at Udaipur during 21-22 February 2017.On behalf of the Association, Shri C M Dwivedi, Hon. Secretary and Shri J V Bhatt, Geo-Technical Advisor has presented papers on Prospects and Challenges for Growth of Mineral Industry in Gujarat and Prospects and Problems of Production of Propant from Calcined Bauxite, Calcnied, Kaolin and Fly Ash.

International Center of Excellence in Mining Safety and Automation (ICEAM), Ahmedabad has organized Lecture on “Global Prospective of Safety and Automation in Mining Industry” on 1 March 2017 wherein office bearers have actively participated.

Under the leadership of our President, Shri P N Rao, “3rd No-Tobacco Walkathon” on 19 March 2017 at Riverfront Ahmedabad.

Our Association has participated in the Seminar “Management of Mine Waste with Value Addition” organized by Mining Engineers Association of India (MEAI) as a part of their celebration of Diamond Jubileeat GMDC from 9-11 June 2017. Our Geo-Technical Advisor Shri J V Bhatt and Shri Jaydeep Solanki have presented papers on R&D Laboratories Contributions of Value-added Items of GMDC Lignite Mines Overburden and Utilization of China Clay Mines Waste respectively.

Association has organized one day interactive seminar on GST on 17 June 2017 at ATMA Hall, Ahmedabad. Renowned Tax Consultant Shri Arvind Gupta has explained, in details, about GST.

Year 2016:  Association with GMDC co-sponsored Conference on “Indian Minerals-Box cite and Lignite: A stepping stone to Make in India” arranged by FIMI, New Delhi on 25-26 February 2016.

As a part of Skill Council for Mining Sector, Association has arranged skill development training program for Dumper, Tipper, Excavator Operator, Helper, Sampler, and Reclamation Supervisor during 12-20 May 2016 at Bhatia Dist. Jamnagar.

Year 2015: A meeting was arranged with the Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines, New Delhi on 2 February 2015 regarding discussion on the effects of Mines & Minerals (Development & Regulations) Amendment Ordinence-2015.

FIMI, New Delhi has organized Indian Industrial Minerals conference on 23-24 February 2015 at Udaipur. Our President Shri P N Rao and Shri J V Bhatt, Geo-Technical Advisor have given power point presentations on Gujarat Minerals and its value addition and Modern Processing and Analytical Innovative Methodology for Silica value added product.

Year 2014: Association has arranged awareness programs at Bhavnagar, Himatnagar, Surat and Godhara to give knowledge about rules of leasing, illegal mining, mines safety, system audit, forest and environment to its members by experts.

Association has organized meeting with all the members to discuss effect of Hon. High Court of Gujarat’s judgment on obtaining Environment Clearance Certificate by small lease holders of minor minerals. The said judgment was challenged by our association and got exemption to continue mining activities without Environment Clearance Certificate.

Association’s Golden Jubilee-50th Annual General Meeting was held on 24 December 2014 and on this auspicious occasion published Souvenir covered the details of long journey achieved by Association.

Year 2010:  Conference on “Indian Industrial Minerals-2010” jointly organized with FIMI, New Delhi on 25-26 October, 2010 at Ahmedabad to discuss various aspects of mineral policy and industrial policy, environment protection, technological up gradation in mining sector and adopt value addition methods of minerals.

Year 1993: Our Association has arranged Open Forum on 23 July 1993 to discuss various issues related to the provisions of Gujarat Minor Minerals Rules-1966.

Year 1991: Our Association has co-sponsored “International Convention on Marketing of Minerals” held at Bangalore in February 1991, organized by FIMI, New Delhi.

Year 1990: Our Association has organized “Western Region Mineral Convention-1990” during 8-9 September 1990 at Ahmedabad in cooperation with MP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Goa states. Technocrats, entrepreneurs and industrialists participated in the event and produced papers on different subjects.

Year 1986: The Mining Geological & Metallurgical Institute of India has organized national seminar on “Small mineral deposit, development and industrial possibilities” during 24-25 January 1986 at New Delhi. Office bearers have presented subject related papers in the seminar.

Year 1985: Indo- Japan Standing Committee has organized conference on “Development of Mineral resources in India” and our office bearers were appointed in Standing Committee.

Year 1984: 12th World Mining Congress was organized at New Delhi during 19-23 November 1984 wherein Association has participated.

Year 1983:  Participated in ‘Discussion on Consulting Services of Indian Bureau of Mines” held on 26 March 1983.

Year 1981: Our Association has actively participated in “National Mineral Convention-1981”  on issues related  mineral industry development, export, marketing and National Mineral Policy, organised by FIMI, New Delhi from 16-18 February 1981.

Year 1977: Association has organized its third “Gujarat Mineral Industry Convention”on 9 October 1977 at Ahmedabad inaugurated by former Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Babubhai Patel. On this auspicious occasion, the souvenir was published.

Year 1976: On the occasion of completion of 125 years of Geological Survey of India ,  Gujmin Industry Association has presented papers on “ Notes on recovery of coal  from coal field with trapped oil field”, Role of mineral in paint industry and The problems of mining industry” in the seminar held during 18-20 October, 1976.

Year 1970: Convened “Western Region Mineral Convention -1970” in association with MP, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Goa and Daman & Diu UT and Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 17-18 October, 1970 to discuss various issues faced by participating states. A committee was constituted to look into the problems of mining industry and solutions thereof.

Gujmin Industry Association in collaboration with Chief Inspector of Mines, Dhanbad has arranged training to mining personnel in the area of mine safety, mine blasting, mines management etc.

Year 1966 Organized Conference on “Development of Mineral Industry and challenges in Gujarat” with the active collaboration of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries during 30 September 1966 to 1 October 1966. All the suggestions, opinions expressed by experts of mining sector were published as a book titled “Gujarat Mineral Industry Convention, 1966”.
